Caterpillars: 3 Months to 2 years
With our flexible space we can create different environments for walking and non-walking babies. They have direct access to the garden where they have a large space to explore and practice new skills, and visit our mini Forest School garden. The babies also have access to the sensory room - we find the babies love the different sounds, sights and sensation that this area presents to them. This room is also used as babies sleep room. We provide fresh linen daily for each child although you are welcome to supplement that with any individual sleeping items, sleeping bags and comforters that may be helpful for your child.
Butterflies: 2 to 4 years
Our toddlers and pre-school children have a bright and spacious room, allowing children to explore a range of defined areas - these are: construction and small world area, writing table, reading corner, role play area, music station, investigation table, arts and crafts, and table top games and puzzles.
The activities and resources available to the children are changed regularly to ensure that the children are interested and engaged in what they are doing. We also aim to ensure that resources are based on children’s current interests and needs to support development in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
